Our Mini Cattle breeding program just started in 2018, and we are 22 strong in our fold as of today. The goal is to produce healthy and happy calves, that will mature to 42” and under at 3 years of age. We are aiming for sweet and friendly personalities. The main breed we will be using is Scottish Highland, but we will also incorporate some White Dexter, British White, Hereford, Galloway, Highpark and Panda!

Miniature cattle are great for small acreages. They can be anywhere to 1/2 or even 1/3 the size of standard cattle, so, therefore, require less feed and land. We encourage the ration of one miniature cow per ½ to 1-acre grass with good quality hay during the winter months.

What makes our breeding program different?

-Mini Scottish Highlands are a very hardy breed of cattle that can withstand harsh cold temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer with adequate shade and water. They tend to be docile and calm, especially the more you work with and handle them. They can make great outdoor companions, show cattle, or home-raised beef.

Coats
-Mini Scottish Highlands have shaggy, solid-colored coats. Their colors can vary from red, black, yellow, dun, white, and silver. We have done some cross-breeding with our Highlands, also giving us a variety of spotted and tipped calves.

-We are home all day with our babies. That means they get tons of interactions with people every day. It is common in the industry for a calf to barely even be touched before they weaned, but not here!

-We are honest. Many people are advertising “mini calves” that are not going to stay mini. They also do not post birth and current heights and weights. I will give you ever bit of information you could ask for and more.

These are cream of the crop bulls and cows. I have narrowed down my herd to a very special group of cows. You will only see gorgeous calf after gorgeous calf here!

We are very active on social media! You may even see your calf Daily on Instagram stories and Facebook page!
